Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker - The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you deposit.
